At Happy Paws & Sofa Snores, I offer more than just dog care—I provide a home-from-home experience where every dog is treated like family.
As a fully insured and 4⭐ licensed facility (SDC: 25/00351), I specialise in doggy daycare and boarding in a cosy, relaxed environment designed to feel safe, stress-free, and welcoming. Unlike traditional kennels, our home setting allows dogs to enjoy their days with plenty of care, comfort, and companionship.
I only cater for well-behaved, socialised, spayed/neutered dogs who thrive in a smaller, more personal environment. This means your pup will enjoy calm surroundings, individual attention, and tailored care that suits their personality, energy level, and unique needs.
Your dog’s welfare is at the heart of everything I do. I’m fully insured, DBS checked, and CPD-certified in Canine Emergency First Aid. I’ve also completed the iPet Network Level 2 in Canine Care, Health & Behaviour—covering canine body language, safe low-stress handling, enrichment, nutrition, and health awareness. This training ensures I can provide the very best care for every dog who stays with me.
By welcoming only a small number of dogs at a time, I keep things personal, peaceful, and positive—so your pup can settle in, relax, and truly enjoy their stay, whether it’s for the day or a longer holiday.
☑️ Spayed or Neutered
At Happy Paws, we only welcome dogs who are spayed or neutered to help maintain a calm, safe group dynamic in our pet care environment.
☑️ Well-Behaved & Socialised
All dogs must be friendly, well-mannered, and confident around others. We promote positive play and relaxed vibes, ensuring that every pup enjoys their time, whether they're playing or indulging in sofa snores.
☑️ Meet & Greet + Trial Night
Before any booking, we require a short meet & greet and a one-night trial stay to make sure we’re the perfect fit—for your dog and for us.
When it comes to leaving your dog in someone else’s care, nothing matters more than knowing they’ll feel safe, happy, and loved. While traditional kennels can work for some, more and more owners are discovering the benefits of a smaller, home-based, bespoke boarding environment—and here’s why it could be the very best choice for your dog.
1. A Home-from-Home Feeling
Dogs are family, so it makes sense to choose care that feels like family too. In a smaller, home-style setting, your dog isn’t just another number—they’re welcomed into a cosy, comfortable environment where sofas, cuddles, and playtime are all part of the daily routine.
2. Personalised Care & Attention
Every dog is different, with their own quirks, preferences, and personalities. A smaller environment allows for truly tailored care—whether your pup loves long countryside walks, quiet nap times, or endless games of fetch. Their day can be shaped around what makes them happiest.
3. Less Stress, More Calm
Large kennels can be noisy and overwhelming, especially for sensitive or older dogs. In a calm, smaller group setting, your dog can relax and feel secure without the stress of constant barking or overcrowding. This peaceful atmosphere encourages contentment, confidence, and wellbeing.
4. Safety & Familiarity
With fewer dogs to care for, the focus is always on safety, supervision, and building trusting relationships. Dogs quickly become familiar with their surroundings and carers, which helps them settle faster and feel at ease—giving you peace of mind while you’re away.
5. Genuine Companionship
In a bespoke environment, your dog isn’t just looked after—they’re cherished. With fewer paws to manage, there’s always time for extra cuddles, belly rubs, and one-to-one attention. Dogs thrive on love and companionship, and in a smaller setting, they’ll always have it.
The Best of Both Worlds
Choosing small, bespoke boarding means your dog enjoys all the benefits of professional care—licensing, training, and safety standards—combined with the comfort and kindness of a true home environment. It’s the perfect blend of professionalism and heart.
Because when you can’t be there, you want to know your dog is not only cared for, but happy. And that’s exactly what a bespoke home-from-home boarding experience provides.
